Cycling is much more than a fun and healthy form of exercise. For many commuters a bike is the daily mode of transport to and from work. Bikes take kids to and from school. Bikes can take us shopping, touring through the countryside and visiting friends and family. In short, bikes can be an integral part of a healthy modern lifestyle.

The West Torrens Bicycle Users' Group (BUG) exists to promote cycling in the West Torrens Council area. It is for residents of the West Torrens area but also for people who travel by bike through the area. It exists to promote cycling, to ensure that cyclists and motorists can safely co-exist and to ensure that cyclists are provided with the facilities and respect which many motorists take for granted but don't instinctively extend to cyclists.
